Et Tu, Babe by Mark Leyner – this book has me laughing out loud at ANY moment (I don’t give a shit where I am at the time either…so there!)
Narcopolis by Jeet Thayil – I heard the author being interviewed on NPR and this IMMEDIATELY became a MUST READ (I can become addicted to many things…VERY easily). Listen to the interview here…you will want to read it too (promise!)
Lid Magazine – introduced to this glossy mag when visiting the Paul Smith shop in NYC. Totally cool. You know you want it.
I bought a ‘Fake Rolex’ from Grey Area – it’s just a rubber facsimile, but it’ll look good on my wrist.
Daytrotter KICKS ASS. A subscription is only $2/month…awesome live music + you get to support them. Make yourself feel good – join up (no affiliation here, just a HUGE fan).
How To Make a Hollywood Hit. Now codified…so go DO IT. NOW.
And finally, in concert news – I’m going to Lollapalooza. Please join me. Stop by and say HIGH!!!
Rarely do I blaze through a book, but this one has me devouring it fairly quickly. Peter Arnell does a good job in supplying his own personal references and stories to help you understand what things we can all do to make the brand of ‘me’ more relevant.
An interesting read into the life and times of an early Googler.
Glass Magazine: a cool glossy from the UK…with an interview this month with Vincent Cassel (who happens to be TRÉS cool)
Another Magazine: a HUGE glossy (also from the UK)
blurb: Make your own book – yup, it’s exactly what you think it is (the wife and I are working on something to be published in 2012); pretty easy to navigate and the results look quite professional
New Good Peoples Mixtape by Nick Hook – High On Coffee On a Plane: some tunes to get you through the day
